Nominations for our Non-Executive Director election are now open
Are you interested in helping Nominet, the guardians of the .UK namespace, deliver its strategy?
Since 1996, we’ve been at the heart of the UK’s internet. Our Board members play a crucial role in running Nominet successfully – from setting strategy and ensuring we invest appropriately and wisely, to providing oversight across the company’s activities.
This year, we’re holding an election seeking one member-elected director to join the Nominet Board – with the successful candidate undertaking a three-year term. The new director will help to oversee the delivery of the strategy agreed by the Board in 2024. They will ensure we meet our obligations to all stakeholders, provide valuable industry experience, and ensure member perspectives are a key part of board discussions.
With the UK’s national domain name registry at our core, we work with our members to bring the benefits of the internet to the millions who depend on our services. Our DNS expertise underpins critical internet infrastructure that government services rely on. And as a trusted registry service provider, we manage top-level domains for some of the world’s biggest brands.
Maintaining a committed, diverse and experienced Board – made up of individuals with a range of skills and experience – will help to ensure our continued success.
Nominet members may propose individuals to stand for election, and the person standing doesn’t need to be a Nominet member. However, only members can propose, second and vote.
We’re accepting nominations until noon (BST) on 7th July 2025.
Find out how to apply or propose a candidate on our corporate governance page.
