Anyone with an interest in the operation of .UK can become a member
Our members, which include registrars, resellers and domain industry experts, help us maintain a trusted and reliable .UK namespace.
Nominet operates at the heart of the internet ecosystem, and our members help to amplify our impact. Through active participation in discussions on policy, governance and best practices, they help shape a more connected, inclusive and secure internet. Their engagement in our role as the .UK registry ensures that the UK continues to be a leader in the global domain industry.
Our members are more than stakeholders – they are partners in our mission. Together, we bring the benefits of the internet to all.
Membership Fees
There’s a £400 +VAT joining fee and an annual renewal fee of £100 +VAT.
The membership year runs from 1st August to 31st July.
If you join after 1st February, your first year’s subscription charge will be reduced to £50 +VAT.

As a Nominet member, you and your colleagues have exclusive access to our membership engagement programme, which connects the .UK registry with registrars and anyone with an interest in the .UK ecosystem.
From regional lunches, our flagship Annual Conference, and a range of technical and policy webinars covering a range of topics impacting the domain name industry, there’s something for everyone.
Members’ GiveHub
Support the charitable organisations that matter to you and apply for funding through the Members’ GiveHub on the Member Hub portal.
Being a member of Nominet provides you with the incredible opportunity to apply for up to £10,000 per financial year to support an eligible organisation of your choice, helping to make the internet more connected, inclusive and secure.
Promotion Opportunities
- Promote your business with a link to your home page from the list of members to help expand your network.
- If you’re a member, you can also display our logo on your website and print materials to show you’re a part of Nominet. You can apply to use our logo through your Online Services account or you can contact us directly at engagement@nominet.uk.
Shaping .UK Policy
- In addition to your roles as a member you’ll have the opportunity to help shape .UK policy by contributing to the .UK Registry Advisory Council (UKRAC).
- The Council plays a vital role in helping to ensure the .UK namespace’s long-term success.
- Nominet members can find UKRAC meeting notes and agendas, as well as councillors’ contact details, on the Member Hub.
Additional Benefits Exclusive to Registrars
If you are member and a registrar you will receive the following additional benefits as part of your membership:
- Discounted wholesale registration and renewal fee on .UK domain names
- Register and renew domain names from between 1-10 years
Please note: To sell .UK domains, you need to be a .UK namespace registrar. You can find out more about becoming a .UK namespace registrar and application process on our Registrar Resources site.
