As a valued Nominet member, we’re delighted to invite you to our Members’ Conference, taking place in-person in London and online on Wednesday 17th September.
This year, we’re looking forward to bringing you a jam-packed agenda covering the current and future state of .UK. From policy to online safety, internet governance and beyond, there’s something for all members.
For those joining in person, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking and collaboration, and we’ll be wrapping up the day with an evening social.

Meet some of our Speakers
Andy Green CBE
Chair at Nominet
Committed to supporting the UK’s digital economy – Andy is a National Infrastructure Commissioner and was formerly Chair of Digital Catapult and e-Skills. He works with several charities – as Chair of WaterAidUK, trustee of the World Wildlife Fund UK, and Vice Chair of the Disasters Emergency Committee.
His commercial roles include Chair of Lowell Group and the Gentrack Group. With over 20 years of board level experience, he was Senior Independent Director at Arm Holdings, and President of UK Space. Andy draws on a long career in tech and telecoms, with roles including CEO of BT Openworld, BT Global Services and Logica plc.
Andy was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s 2020 New Year’s Honours List for services to the Information Technology Sector and the British Space Industry.

Paul Fletcher
Nominet CEO
Joining Nominet in January 2022, Paul brought extensive experience of working with a wide spectrum of members and stakeholders to the organisation. He has spent over 20 years in board level roles related to tech, in the listed, charitable and membership sectors.
Paul was previously CEO at BCS – the Chartered Institute for IT – a charity with over 60,000 members. Previously, Paul was Managing Director for RM Education – and earlier in his career held management and strategic consultancy roles.
An alumnus of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, he is also a fellow of the BCS. He has also been listed twice in the UKtech50 – which recognises the most influential people in UK technology. In 2022 Paul was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Plymouth for his services to Computing.

David Carroll
Chief Customer officer at Nominet
David has worked in customer facing and commercial roles in the tech sector for over 25 years, having begun his career in the British Army. David was previously Managing Director of Nominet Cyber, delivering Protective DNS solutions for the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC). As Chief Customer Officer, he is responsible for Sales and Marketing, Proposition / Product Management and Customer Success & Operations.

Amy O’donnell
Social Impact Lead at Nominet
As part of a team to deliver the organisation’s Public Benefit commitments, Amy is focused on championing a safe, secure, and resilient Internet. As part of Nominet’s new strategy aimed at reducing online harms, Amy is currently leading the development of Online Safety Research to establish a new initiative and is supporting the formation of an Expert Advisory Panel for The Nominet DNS Fund.
With over a decade of experience at the intersection of digital technology and social impact, including leadership of flagship programmes micro:bit and Click Start, Amy is deeply committed to tackling digital inequality and promoting safer online experiences.

Mayuresh Walke
Head of customer success at Nominet
With a career focused on customer-facing roles and operational excellence. Currently serving as Head of Customer Success & Operations at Nominet, Mayuresh leads customer operations delivery across all Nominet’s key services.
With a specialised focus on cybersecurity, Mayuresh brings a deep operational understanding of this evolving landscape our efforts in combatting domain abuse. He is spearheading Nominet’s member-focused operating model transformation, created to deliver industry-leading service and a safer, more secure internet.

Chris Ashworth OBE
Head of Social Impact at Nominet
Chris leads initiatives focused on achieving sustainable impact for society and improving the digital world. From overseeing Nominet’s activities in digital inclusion and skills – through to unlocking original approaches to essential digital services and innovation in combatting online harms.
Formerly of Oxfam, Chris led the establishment of Oxfam in Korea as well as managing relationships with multinational actors in humanitarian and development. Chris is currently an advisor to Ofcom on media literacy and the founder of the campaign ‘click-zero’.
Chris was awarded an OBE in the King’s 2023 New Year’s Honours List for services to the charity sector both within and outside of the United Kingdom.

Adam Groves
Social Impact Lead at Nominet
Adam Groves is Social Impact Lead, at Nominet. Working with our partners he is focused on Nominet’s internet safety and countering online harm initiatives, ensuring young people are safe and secure online.
He has over ten years’ experience designing and managing programmes at the intersection of digital and social impact, addressing issues such as child sexual exploitation, knife crime, and homelessness. He is also a Churchill Fellow, researching how UK society can respond to new and emerging online child harms at a time of rapid social, technological and regulatory change.

Steve Forbes
Head of customer propositions at Nominet
Working in Product Management for 15 years, Steve has worked on a variety of software in the cyber security, DNS, and online safety spaces. He started his career at Vodafone before moving in the Education Sector. He worked for an ISP that was a Nominet Registrar before joining the company in 2019.
Steve is an i100 integree with the National Cyber Security Centre, working with the schools team within Economy and Society. He also provides Online Safety training on behalf of the National Crime Agency as a CEOP Ambassador.

Alishah Shariff
policy & Public Affairs lead at Nominet
Leading Nominet’s work on public policy issues including internet governance and provides a Secretariat for the UK Internet Governance Forum, Alishah joined Nominet in 2023.
Alishah previously a decade in UK Civil Service working across a range of domestic and international policy roles, including Head of Digital National Security at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Alishah holds a degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge.

Gordon Dick
Registry Services Specialist at Nominet
Gordon Dick is a Registry Services Specialist at Nominet with 30-years of industry experience as a registrar, registry operator and registry services provider at the heart of the DNS.
He currently sits as an alternate member of the IANA Customer Standing Committee overseeing the internet’s DNS root zone manager and works closely with ICANN to manage Nominet’s Emergency Registry Backend Operator (EBERO) service to support failing gTLD registries to protect registrants.
Passionate about fostering a customer focused registry environment, Gordon actively engages with registry operator customers, registrars, registrants and the wider internet community and is part of the team focussed on modernising and standardising the .UK registry experience to streamline user experiences.

Oliver Tweedie
Chief Technology officer at Nominet
Before joining Nominet in 2022, Oliver Tweedie was Executive Director for Technology and Interim CIO for the Bank of England.
At the bank, he was responsible for all aspects of technology and programme delivery. He was also responsible for the Cyber Security Division. Oliver was previously Technology Director at Sky where he built national-scale internet service provider and analytics systems. He was responsible for development of Sky Broadband during its growth phase and spent time at Freeserve – where he was involved in the initial stages of UK consumer internet development.
He has an MBA from Bayes Business School, City, University of London and is a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society.

Will Guyatt
Head of Communications at Nominet
A communications leader with experience in the gaming, media and tech spaces, Will has led PR functions globally for businesses including, Future, Lad Bible, Meta and Ziff Davis.
Outside of his work at Nominet, Will remains in demand as a technology broadcaster – regularly appearing on BBC Radio 2, CNN, Fox News, ITV’s This Morning and LBC Radio – covering everything from the rise of Artificial Intelligence to the roll out of the Online Safety Bill.
