Oxford, UK – 19th November 2025: Nominet, guardians of the .UK domain, has launched a new system to report domain abuse, as it further strengthens efforts to bolster trust and safety on its namespace.
Using the CleanDNS service, Nominet will improve the process for reporting abuse – working closely with both registrars and, where necessary, registrants of .UK domains. This can be done through this form or bulk reporting via API if you are registered with CleanDNS as a reporter.
Registrars will benefit from improved domain abuse notifications, which include links to evidence. Nominet’s analysts will continue to be involved in both investigation and decision-making before registrars receive abuse notifications.
For more information on domain abuse, and Nominet’s strategy to combat it, you can visit the Tackling Abuse on .UK webpage.
“Our new partnership with CleanDNS platform marks a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to fight domain abuse,” said David Carroll, Chief Customer Officer, Nominet.
“By streamlining reporting and centralising resources, we aim to support registrars and the wider community where it matters most. We look forward to working closely with our members, partners, and stakeholders as we roll out these enhancements and encourage any feedback to help further improve the service.”
