2026 Announced Events
The National Railway Museum – 8th September
About the event
Join us at The National Railway Museum to meet the Nominet team, including CEO Paul Fletcher, alongside product and technical colleagues. You’ll get to hear more about the next developments for .UK while enjoying lunch, great company, and access to the full NRM galleries, including the virtual Flying Scotsman simulator.
Get up close with exhibits outlining the history of British rail, including:
- The undisputed crown jewel of steam speed, LNER 4468 Mallard, which set the world’s fastest time for a steam train at 126mph in 1938.
- The iconic 1960s Shinkansen “Bullet Train”, which triggered a global high-speed rail revolution and is one of only two Shinkansen vehicles on exhibit outside Japan.
- The Eurostar Power Car, showcasing the pioneering engineering that finally connected Britain to mainland Europe via the Channel Tunnel in 1994, just two years ahead of the launch of today’s .UK

About the event
To celebrate cutting-edge British design, we’re inviting Nominet members to an exclusive takeover at the home of one of the UK’s most iconic design and manufacturing success stories, Triumph Motorcycles.
Including a private tour behind the scenes of the factory, and access to the immersive exhibition space. Alongside the tour, it’s also a great opportunity to meet the Nominet team and hear more about our modernisation journey over the next 12 months.
