Access to the internet

At least 1 million young people don’t have appropriate, affordable access to the internet and hardware in the UK. Most prevalent amongst young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, access to the internet means the ability to build on what they are learning in formal education, explore opportunities, develop key skills and competencies and reach their full potential.

The Reboot project is an outcome of DevicesDotNow, an emergency appeal in response to COVID-19 which aimed to connect the unconnected.

The Data Poverty Lab was set up in 2021 with Good Things Foundation to find sustainable solutions to data poverty. Together, we want to make the internet affordable for people on low incomes and free for people on very low incomes.
